Seacoast SQL Server Users Group meets monthly on the campus of Great Bay Community College, conveniently located close to Routes 95 and 16 on the Pease Tradeport. Directions and a map can be found here.

Our meetings are free to attend and dinner and soft drinks are provided. Our nightly schedule typically looks like this -

5:45 Vendor Presentation (The sponsors provide for the logistics for our meetings and we will try to match a sponsor up with the topic presented when possible. Many sponsors also have their own giveaways)

Power View (Formerly Project Crescent) 

 

Microsoft SQL Server 2012 PowerView (formerly known as Project Crescent) provides intuitive ad-hoc reporting for business users such as data analysts, business decision makers, and information workers. They can easily create and interact with views of data from tabular models based on PowerPivot workbooks published in a PowerPivot Gallery, or tabular models deployed to SQL Server Code-Named “Denali” Analysis Services (SSAS). Project Crescent is a browser-based Silverlight application launched from SharePoint Server 2010.

In this session Sunil will give you an overview of the key features of PowerView and then he will develop some of these views during his demo.
